Pruning

Pruning is a common procedure that is carried out on trees to maintain the health of the tree and ensure that it stays strong and healthy for years to come. Reducing a trees size has many advantages from, receiving more light and reducing wind sail, to pulling branches back from buildings etc. When pruning is carried out the tree surgeon doing so will remove any of the dead or diseased parts of the tree to prevent spreading of disease or further damage to the tree, overlapping limbs will also be removed and the overall size of the tree will be reduced. Pruning is also a beneficial procedure for the tree's health as by reducing the epicormic growth to set growth points allows for the regrowth to be thicker and stronger.
